Waukesha County’s Department of Administration – Human Resources Division is seeking a talented administrative support professional to provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers. We serve the employees who serve Waukesha County. This role blends front office reception duties with meaningful administrative support for a collaborative and highly experienced HR team, working alongside two other administrative professionals. You’ll play an important part in HR onboarding and training activities, including coordinating background checks, scheduling post-offer physicals and drug screenings (including DOT-regulated screens), completing and tracking I-9 documentation, and supporting the Training Coordinator with training administration, scheduling, communications, marketing, and materials. The successful candidate will provide backup administrative support to our County Executive’s Office and assist with administrative duties for the Payroll Division, helping ensure smooth and efficient operations across departments. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have opportunities to contribute to special projects, such as helping build the Learning Module in our newly implemented Workday system and supporting upgrades to the County intranet, making this a great role for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and learning new systems.
