About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support our customer, NOAA GFDL, in Princeton, NJ. This position requires an ability to obtain a Public Trust and is hybrid remote with work at the local customer site (3 times weekly). Desired physical location is in the Princeton, NJ or surrounding area. Provide administrative and technical support, utilizing various office computer programs, to assist multiple internal and external customers of the OAR GFDL Disaster Recovery Planning: Manage the records database system Serves as the central point of contact for arrivals and departure coordination Collect, input, and remove information in the records management database Travel Coordination and Traveler Assistance: Coordinate international and domestic travel for the organization Communicate orally and in writing to travelers to answer questions or provide information Input personal information for each traveler into E2 system Library and Document Management: Acquire library materials to support the mission of the lab Process interlibrary loan requests from the electronic database Monitor manuscript spreadsheet and create purchase order for GFDL authored manuscript General Administrative Services and Support: Provides general office support, such as scanning, copying, and mailing as needed Processing of administrative paperwork and other administrative duties

Requirements

  • High School and eight (8) years or more of related experience
  • Related scientific or technical discipline
  • Four years of specialized experience in determining information technology effects on the organizational structure and determining the ability that IT can support/meet organizational goals
  • At least 8 years of specialized experience, a degree is not required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance which requires US Citizenship
  • Skill in preparing technical and administrative documents, reports, and oral and written presentations
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in standard software such as Adobe, MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrated skills in reviewing and safeguarding government issue documents with PII
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Skill in the use of administrative computer software
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct work
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

  • Familiarity/background with government travel preferred but not required
