About The Position

The Administrative Assistant supports the Child Support Services Division in its mission to secure financial and medical support for children through parental obligations. This role processes and reviews child support applications, conducts initial case research, and ensures accurate coordination with applicants, agencies, and Vital Statistics offices. The position also provides essential administrative and customer service support, including responding to public inquiries, maintaining records, and serving as backup to the Administrative Support Supervisor. Requirements

  • Knowledge of program support processes, procedures, and methods.
  • General knowledge of federal and state program rules and policies.
  • General knowledge of Department of Public Health and Huma Services programs.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills. Strength in public speaking.
  • Ability to be resourceful and take initiative when needed.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, human services, social services, or a related field.
  • Two years of job-related experience.
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
