Performs a variety of duties to support administration of the assigned department. This role involves composing, typing, and transcribing correspondence, forms, reports, and presentation materials. It also includes receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls, handling general inquiries, and scheduling/coordinating meetings, conferences, special events, appointments, and travel arrangements. The position requires maintaining assigned calendars, establishing and maintaining filing systems, and ordering and stocking supplies. Additionally, the Administrative Specialist will assist with special projects and interdepartmental needs as appropriate.
