The Division of Emergency Management is hiring an Administrative Specialist Senior that: Provides high-level professional administrative support with Kentucky Emergency Management (KYEM) management and sections related to agency operations. Performs duties in the oversight of intricate processes such as planning, implementing and monitoring of inventory services to ensure best practices, and methods are utilized. Develops and implements plans and procedures to support comprehensive inventory management during disasters and non-disaster times. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Track and maintain accurate inventory records across all KYEM grants to ensure all state and federal guidelines are met. Conduct regular inventory audits and prepare reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and trends to inform management decisions. Support other KYEM sections during state and federal audits. Work closely with purchasing, logistics and other KYEM sections to be sure that equipment, vehicles and supplies that meet inventory requirements are logged into KYEM's inventory system in a timely manner. Utilize KYEM's inventory management software to track KYEM assets across all KYEM grants and sections. Maintain accurate inventory commodities purchased and stored in KYEM for distribution during emergencies. Work with KYEM's administrative section to make purchases of commodities when situations dictate such. Support and fills the logistics section chief role within the SEOC (State Emergency Operations Center) during activation, exercises or planned activations.
