About The Position

Under general supervision, provides a variety of clerical support services for TGA, such as providing specialized, technical or program-specific information. Provides outstanding front-facing customer service to all patrons/employees entering the TGA/Licensing area. Assists Licensing Investigators with licensing needs for vendors, employees, and potential employees of the gaming properties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of experience in an office/administrative environment.
  • One (1) year of accounting and cash handling experience.
  • One (1) year of Casino experience.
  • Skilled in basic accounting and mathematics.
  • Skilled in computer software applications relative to the position assignment.
  • Skilled in operation of standard office equipment, including personal computer, scanner/copier, fax machine, and a multi-line telephone.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution techniques.
  • Skilled in interpersonal and human relations.
  • Knowledge of general office principles and practices.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and potentially volatile situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Muckleshoot Tribal Gaming Agency by providing agency/commission specific information regarding established polices/procedures to internal and external customers via telephone, in-person, or in writing.
  • Assists the vendor licensing investigator with vendor applications, vendor data, and various other aspects of the vendor licensing process.
  • Provides outstanding in-person, telephonic, and electronic customer service at all times.
  • Perform moderate numerical calculations involving cashiering, in addition to accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry.
  • Refers various internal/external customer concerns regarding the licensing process to the appropriate department and/or individual.
  • Composes Agency signage and notifications for physical and electronic distribution and posting.
  • Inventories, and distributes supplies and/or equipment.
  • Basic receptionist duties to include answering a multi-line phone system, transferring calls to the appropriate party, taking messages and leaving voicemails when necessary.
  • Performs light routine maintenance on various office and Agency equipment such as the photocopier, coffee machine and soda fountain.
  • Assists outside agencies when appropriately requested to provide background information regarding current or previous vendor applicant background investigations.
  • Records, ships, and tracks incoming and outgoing parcels for shipment/delivery. Sorts and distributes both internal and external mail to the appropriate individuals.
  • Because of the Tribe's commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
