About The Position

This position will provide transcription services for decedent cases. This position will provide data entry for a high volume of investigation reports, death certificates, autopsy reports, meeting requests for public records, file/case review, and filing. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator. This position provides support to the Chief Medical Examiner, other Pathologists, and Medical Examiners within the state ME system, as well as provides information to decedents' families via document fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator.
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transcription services for decedent cases.
  • Provide data entry for a high volume of investigation reports, death certificates, autopsy reports, meeting requests for public records, file/case review, and filing.
  • Provide support to the Chief Medical Examiner, other Pathologists, and Medical Examiners within the state ME system.
  • Provide information to decedents' families via document fulfillment.
