About The Position

The Administrative Specialist I position provides critical support for all NCATP offices across the state including computer and technical assistance, processing all assistive technology requisitions, credit cards, and other orders in the NC E-Procurement system, inventory control, and assisting with maintaining the NCATP budget within NCFS and equipment budgets on a monthly basis. Ensures all NCATP requisitions are accurate and complete prior to processing, as well as ensures all purchasing guidelines are adhered to by each NCATP office. Maintains NCATP inventory spreadsheet and ensures accurate information is maintained in the NCATP data collection system. Maintain equipment order spreadsheet’s and compares monthly spending with fiscal services records. Assists new vendors with registration for the e-procurement system. Provides regular assistance to NCATP staff regarding computer access and installations. Duties include (not limited to): Equipment Order Processing Inventory Control Administrative Duties Technical Assistance Other Duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of assistive technology.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement methods and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ordering and state processes/procedures.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other various computer hardware/software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with staff, customers, and agency personnel.
  • Ability to work with people with varied backgrounds and expertise.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with referring entities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively regarding inventory, computer issues, and order processing.
