This temporary position is located in 1915 Blue Ridge Road - Wake County with the  Department of Administration. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.  The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative duties, filing, copies, answering phones, answering emails, budget, changes of assignment, new requests, performance of driving background checks for state employee drivers using the DMV system
  • Check proper designated signature authority on FM-30s and dates and correct billing codes, as incorrect information on FM-30s could result in incorrect vehicles being assigned/ transferred Send FM-30s back to the proper contact person for each department when they are not correct and keeps track of these documents
  • Use DocuSign software extensively
  • Handle Wright Express fuel cards, orders fuel cards, terminates cards and driver ID numbers when vehicles are surplus, stolen or lost as well as change card statuses, resets law enforcement or travel status, and mail cards to proper drivers
  • Responsible for assisting in moving vehicles from one location to another, such as to State Surplus for sale vehicles and/or to DPS
  • Serves as backup to the vehicle assignment position, assigns and replaces vehicles to agencies using MFM intranet database system, and answers and responds to questions and/ or concerns related to vehicle assignment for drivers by explaining the regulations concerning MFM vehicles
  • Use ARI software daily to keep vehicle information current and active.
  • Use MS Excel to reconcile the driver databases in the ARI, Geotab and MFM system.
