The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a team-oriented individual who possesses excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Under the direction of the Attorney Registration and Administration Manager in the New Jersey Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection, the selected individual will assist with the Fund’s administrative and billing operations. The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience performing a variety of clerical and support services to include keyboarding and one or more of the following: document or information processing, handling payments for fees, recording monies received, reconciling balances or accounts and/or scheduling meetings or appointments.
  • Ability to use a keyboard, no minimum speed.

Responsibilities

  • Advise judges, court staff, and the public on attorney statuses and compliance requirements.
  • Check accounts for legitimacy or verification of payments.
  • Calculate statistical information for reports.
  • Monitor and respond to email inquiries submitted to the Fund’s mailboxes.
  • Regulate workflow in accordance with established timeframes.
  • Investigate discrepancies in accounts or other financial reports.
  • Review correspondence and forms for completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyze payment data and prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Maintain records and files.
  • Process status changes and court disciplines in the Central Attorney Management System (CAMS).
  • Participate in training or cross training.
  • Compose complex correspondence.
  • Provide quality customer service to court users and/or internal customers.
  • Work independently on special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
