About The Position

This Administrative Services Manager role involves comprehensive oversight of budgetary, financial, and accounting functions, including preparing revenue and funding reports. The manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, laws, and regulations, and serving as the fiscal liaison with Federal, state, and local entities. Key duties include providing information for financial audits, monitoring service contracts, processing documents, and addressing data system issues. The position also entails overseeing information systems technical support and security, collaborating with agency leadership on strategic goals, and leading the administrative team through supervision, training, and performance evaluations. Developing and maintaining administrative procedures and monitoring work progress are also core responsibilities. This is an onsite position, not eligible for teleworking, and requires participation in emergency shelter duty during natural disasters or emergencies.

Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge of the principles of modern office management
  • Considerable knowledge of supervision and training principles and practices
  • Considerable knowledge of budget evaluation, preparation and control
  • Considerable knowledge of accounting principles
  • Extensive knowledge of software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and database use
  • Knowledge of business management, finance, procurement, contracting, personnel, and facilities management
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and agency regulations and policies
  • Knowledge of agency, department or section administrative and program practices, policies and procedures
  • Experience in operating and supervising others in the use of office equipment to include the use of a personal computer and software
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and manage staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and direct the administrative operations of the agency to include administrative, support and technical functions
  • Ability to manage multiple areas of responsibility
  • Ability to interpret and analyze fiscal and technical data for decision making
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or related field supplemented with experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Required to report for emergency shelter duty in the event of a natural disaster or emergency

Responsibilities
