This position involves processing discipline packets, typing, copying, logging, and serving employee Pre-Disciplinary Conference Notices, managing the hearing schedule, and distributing pre-disciplinary packets. The role also includes completing confidential documents, maintaining a database for grievances, preparing correspondence and reports, composing and typing correspondence, screening incoming calls, assigning grievance numbers, maintaining grievance files, handling grievance communication, tracking union leave, and compiling data related to collective bargaining and negotiations. Additionally, the position assists employee equal opportunity (EEO) staff with hearings and reports, compiles information for position statements for EEO complaints, and assists the Correctional Warden Assistant 2 and acts as back-up to the Warden’s Administrative Professional 4. Responsibilities also include opening, logging, and distributing mail, answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, maintaining inventory of supplies, preparing records retention and disposal schedules, collecting and mailing monthly reports, substituting as Warden’s secretary, assisting committees, coordinating daily workflow, revising manual content, and maintaining security and confidentiality.
