About The Position

The Administrative Operations Intern will support the daily functions of the center by optimizing office workflows, managing digital information, and enhancing communication strategies. This role is ideal for students looking to apply business theory, IT skills, and communication strategies within a mission-driven nonprofit environment. Organization Description: The Appalachian Pregnancy Care Center offers a comprehensive system of support and service for women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and their newborns. It provides necessary pre- and post-natal education resources and helps new mothers avoid the pitfalls that often accompany an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. APCC connects clients with a broad-based network of support agencies in their community and helps mothers make positive choices involving their and their babies’ health. APCC counsels the mothers about financial and educational options and helps them maintain stability, working with the entire family unit.

Requirements

  • A current UPIKE student with interest/major/minor in Business Management, Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit client/donor databases; ensure digital filing systems are organized and secure.
  • Draft, update, and manage media content to increase community awareness.
  • Propose tech-based solutions to optimize office workflows (e.g., intake forms, supply tracking).
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for fundraising events; communicate professionally with community partners and vendors.
  • Assist with organization of office and client supplies.
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate on center-wide projects.
