Requirements

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct federal and state emergency management grant programs and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Create and implement administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, and reporting tools for grant operations
  • Supervise grant managers, set goals, conduct evaluations, and coordinate ongoing training for staff
  • Manage application processes, funding expenditures, sub-grants, reporting requirements, and close-out activities
  • Work with federal, state, and local officials to resolve grant issues and support program goals
  • Participate in emergency assignments that may require extended hours, travel, or work in adverse conditions
