About The Position

The Montefiore Administrative Nurse Manager maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement. The Administrative Nurse Manager actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The Administrative Nurse Manager participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The Administrative Nurse Manager demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. This position is accountable for managing all clinical administrative functions (patient care delivery, fiscal, material and human resources) of nursing unit(s) within a Care Center on a 24-hour basis. The position is responsible to create an environment in which autonomy is nurtured, encouraged and reflected in a highly competent workforce capable of providing quality care. Professional interdisciplinary collaboration, communication and teamwork enacted enable care delivery to the customers and community to improve health and wellness. The position is responsible to uphold compliance with Montefiore Medical Center’s policies/procedures, service excellence standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse New York license & registration required.
  • BSN Degree required.
  • GI (Gastrointestinal) inpatient/outpatient, & Ambulatory experience required.
  • Nurse Management experience required.
  • BLS & Infection Control certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all clinical administrative functions (patient care delivery, fiscal, material and human resources) of nursing unit(s) within a Care Center on a 24-hour basis.
