This position is in our high-volume Neuroscience Institute where 19 providers with 8 specialties provide the most advanced care for conditions impacting the brain. Our expert neurologists are improving care and research for many conditions including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and brain injury. Our skilled neurosurgeons provide cutting edge therapies for complex conditions such as brain aneurysms, epilepsy, spinal disorders and many other conditions. As an Administrative Medical Assistant in this clinic, you will be part of our in-clinic support staff and assist with clinic workload, and administrative tasks. You will be part of a team that ensures clean claims and excellent customer service, to our patients, and external customers, to meet and exceed organizational initiatives, and clinic level, key performance indicators. Medical office experience required for this staffing position. This position is responsible for performing administrative tasks (indirect care) that support the care team in providing direct medical care. This position utilizes the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and external resources or tools to provide a complete assessment of the patient’s health status, which includes identifying care gaps prior to the patient encounter. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and communication skills to assure that patients get the indicated care when and where they need and want it, in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. Patient contact via telephone is a critical component of this position, highlighting the medical background and communication skills necessary.
