The Administrative Law Internship provides hands-on experience in the administrative hearing process, legal research, and public-sector decision making. The Office of the Hearing Examiner (OHE) summer intern will assist with legal writing, research, and filings for the Office of Hearing Examiners. The successful applicant will attend administrative and motions hearings. They will review motions, briefs, and files for writing decisions for the ALJs. They will learn to put together a legal file from start to finish and review the case for procedural errors. The intern will closely collaborate with the ALJs and staff to evaluate and interpret the laws. This is a perfect position for someone who is looking for a public service career or litigation with an emphasis on tax, insurance, or health law.
