The Administrative Graduate Assistant (AGA) will work under the direction and supervision of the assigned Director. Responsibilities include attending all necessary department and Graduate School events, orientations, and training sessions. The AGA must uphold the Graduate School Honor Code and Graduate Assistantship Handbook. Key duties involve assisting the department with miscellaneous administrative tasks and projects, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to academic programs and institutional reports using spreadsheet software or databases, and conducting research on best practices in higher education, program assessment, and accreditation. The role also includes reviewing and updating policies and procedures, preparing materials for institutional reporting and accreditation, and supporting faculty-related matters. Collaboration with other graduate assistants, staff, faculty, and departments is essential, as is handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality. The AGA must strictly adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the University in an exemplary manner, working effectively as a team member and embracing LU's mission.
