About The Position

Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring experienced, compassionate, and results-driven individuals for the role of Administrative Director of the BHCC in Valdosta, Georgia. This position is responsible for directing the overall functions of assigned services and/or work units, with ultimate accountability for facilities and services provided 24/7. The Administrative Director collaborates with the CCO to establish and evaluate departmental goals aligned with the organization's strategic mission. Key responsibilities include positioning Behavioral Health Services of South Georgia as a leading provider through product line development, coordinating and supervising departmental operations, facilitating communication, ensuring quality service delivery, maintaining performance improvement and regulatory compliance, and managing departmental finances. The role also involves interviewing, hiring, discharging, and evaluating staff, fostering staff growth and development, maintaining relationships with the Medical Director and other healthcare professionals, acting as a liaison for consumers, and ensuring the safety and security of the building. Additionally, the Administrative Director serves as a liaison between the BHCC Department and the IT Department, acting as a resource for the electronic medical record (EMR) and analyzing data for improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • RN/BSN or LCSW, LMFT, LPC.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the management of a health care service organization.
  • Psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to research, regulatory standards for behavioral health, including CARF, OSHA, Medicare, and DBHDD.
  • Thorough understanding of service line management, payor sources, and public relations skills required.
  • Planning, communicating, teambuilding, networking, writing, listening, leading, motivating, and critical thinking skills are necessary for success.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of EMR.
  • Ability to analyze data for improvement opportunities.
  • Utilizes discretion in handling the organization's confidential information and consumer-protected information.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the overall functions of the services and/or work units assigned.
  • Overall accountability of facilities and services provided 7 days a week/24 hours a day.
  • Participating with the CCO to establish and evaluate Department goals and objectives that support the Organization's Strategic Mission and Goals.
  • Helping to position Behavioral Health Services of South Georgia as the leading provider of behavioral health services in its current and future markets through product line development and implementation.
  • Coordinating and supervising operations of the Department.
  • Facilitating intradepartmental and interdepartmental communication and activities, ensuring the delivery of quality services.
  • Maintaining performance improvement activities within the Department and ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Maintaining financial control of the Department.
  • Participating in interviewing, hiring, discharge, and evaluation of staff in all areas of responsibility.
  • Providing for the growth and development of staff.
  • Maintaining working relationships with the Medical Director, staff, physicians, NPs, and leaders from other areas.
  • Acting as a liaison for consumers; following up on consumer complaints or expressed concerns and referring them to the proper avenue for resolution.
  • Maintaining safety and security of the building.
  • Serving as a liaison between the BHCC Department and IT Department and serving as a knowledgeable resource for utilization of the electronic medical record.
  • Analyzing data for improvement opportunities.
  • Utilizing discretion in handling the organization's confidential information and consumer-protected information.
