This vacancy is located in the Sabine Parish- DCFS Child Welfare Office in Many, LA. We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child Welfare Office in Sabine Parish, creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly. This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, applicants and clients of the Sabine Parish Child Welfare office.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as Lead Coordinator for all administrative operations of the Sabine Parish (Many, LA) office.
  • Provides personnel support to include timekeeping duties, FMLA paperwork, and reports.
  • Provide receptionist duties
  • Serve as liaison between clients, families and agency staff
  • Performs duties related to purchasing of office supplies.
  • Provides direct payment support to child welfare staff and clients
  • Organize and maintain file room and files in accordance with established procedure and records retention policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the office.

Benefits

  • This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments.
  • Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
