About The Position

The primary focus of this role is to provide a wide range of administrative services for department managers. To execute this role effectively the assistant should have a high degree of situational awareness and be technically proficient, able to work independently, proactive, flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and a team player. Works effectively in a complex and demanding environment while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor. Continually requires a high degree of autonomy. The role necessitates collaborating with multiple projects and departments. Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar projects throughout North America.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • At least one year of experience as administrative assistant
  • At least one year of meeting and event planning experience
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and format communications, presentations, proposals and reports
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments, manage calendars, and provide general office support
  • Assist with travel itineraries and arrangements
  • Process expense reports, invoices and orders
  • Serve as a back-up to other office administrative staff
  • Perform other administrative duties as required or assigned
