About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Counsel to the Supreme Court. The Administrative Coordinator 1 will provide administrative support to the Counsel to the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice Emeritus, and Supreme Court Advisory Groups (Historical Commission and Commission on Judicial Independence). This role involves coordinating communications with Supreme Court Boards and Advisory Groups, organizing and circulating materials related to rule changes and recommendations, scheduling commentators for Court argument sessions, and coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, materials, and minutes for the Historical Commission and Commission on Judicial Independence. Other related duties and responsibilities will be performed as required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of modern office practices and equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain and observe confidentiality in the performance of job duties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check required.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or position involving comparable activities/skills, or Bachelor’s degree PLUS two years of varied office management or staff work in a staff service position, or Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Counsel to the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice Emeritus, and Supreme Court Advisory Groups (Historical Commission and Commission on Judicial Independence).
  • Coordinate communications with Supreme Court Boards and Advisory Groups.
  • Organize and circulate materials to the Supreme Court regarding rule changes, recommendations, and general communications related to the Boards and Advisory Groups.
  • Schedule commentators for Court argument sessions.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and materials, and prepare meeting minutes for the Historical Commission and Commission on Judicial Independence.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
