About The Position

The Administrative Clerk plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to visitors, employees, and leaders at the Taylorville, IL facility. This role provides general office and receptionist support through a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. As the first-person visitors and customers meet, this position is responsible for creating a professional and welcoming experience while representing Grain & Protein Technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience as an Administrative Clerk or in a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to build customer loyalty with both internal and external customers while cultivating relationships that secure commitment and trust
  • Ability to build partnerships and leverage relationships within and across work groups to achieve results
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely in a way that helps others understand and retain the message while listening actively

Responsibilities

  • Answer the phone in a professional manner and direct calls to the correct offices
  • Greet and assist visitors and connect them with the appropriate employee
  • Help maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting badges and maintaining the visitor log
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Complete data entry for Purchase Requisitions
  • Scan credits, bills of landing, delivery tickets, and related documentation
  • Book travel arrangements
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and order as needed
  • Maintaining a filing system
  • Maintain the attendance line and log
  • Assist in planning and preparation of company events
  • Support the team with assigned project work
  • Minimal local travel or travel to other facilities as needed
