About The Position

This position provides office support for internal operations within the Attorney's Office. Responsibilities include maintaining electronic and paper files, sorting and distributing mail, tracking packages and supplies, and performing data entry and other clerical tasks. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with either current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program or six months of related work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word is necessary, as is the ability to comply with security requirements.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent and currently enrolled in post-secondary courses in a legal, law enforcement, paralegal, administrative support, accounting, customer service or related program OR high school graduate or equivalent and six months of volunteer or paid work experience in a legal, law enforcement, paralegal, administrative support, accounting, customer service or related field
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Must possess the ability to comply with Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension security requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assists with maintaining physical and electronic filing systems, including data entry associated with the file process.
  • Performs record maintenance, including scanning and indexing documents and data entry concerning imaged documents.
  • Copies or prints files and assembles documents and/or files as required.
  • Responds to inquiries from the public and partnering agencies to provide responsive public service.
  • Completes database inquiries related to incoming documents.
  • Stamps, sorts, and distributes incoming mail; collects, routes and delivers outgoing mail and performs messenger services between divisions and within the County.
  • Attends work in a regular and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
