About The Position

Gaudenzia is seeking hope-bringers and changemakers for the role of Administrative Case Manager. This position is crucial in promoting long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to individuals with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions. The role involves direct day-to-day functioning of the Assessment Unit, overseeing client and paper flow, and acting as a liaison with referral sources. Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited college with a major in: Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Health, Social Work.
  • Master's Degree + 2 years of direct services with drug and alcohol/mental health population.
  • Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of direct services with drug and alcohol/mental health population.
  • Associate degree + 4 years of direct services with drug and alcohol/mental health population.
  • Knowledge of treatment, therapeutic, rehabilitative and prevention techniques including, but no limited to: chemical dependency, mental health and criminal behavior.
  • Knowledge of drug and alcohol abusing subculture.
  • Knowledge of the County funding and admission process.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in developing, implementing, interpreting, and evaluating program policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to produce a large volume of meals on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work effectively with target population, staff members, agencies, institutions, and the general public.

Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day functioning of Assessment Unit.
  • Knowledge of daily census of region's programs.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining efficient assessment procedure.
  • Oversee client and paper flow between Assessment Unit and programs.
  • Act as a liaison with the internal and external referral sources.
  • Know criteria for all referral sources.
  • Be proficient in assessment tools (i.e., PCPC, etc.).
  • Ensure appropriate referrals are made to programs.
  • Ensure accurate, up to date assessment records, records of referral and funding sources.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding, referral, and regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as defined by the Unit Unique Job Descriptions.
