About The Position

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Incorporated is well known for its flagship product, YellaWood® brand pressure treated pine which it sells through Do-It-Yourself retail home centers, pro dealers and other retail building-related and industrial segments. Our distribution coverage stretches from the Florida Keys to Texas to Canada, an area that includes all or parts of 27 states and the District of Columbia, as well as much of the Caribbean and Latin America, and part of the European Union and Mediterranean region. From pressure treated fence products, columns, deck specialties, and KDAT products, YellaWood® is the brand of choice for outdoor building. About Great Southern Wood Preserving: Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is the industry’s leading producer of pressure-treated lumber products for D-I-Y retail home centers, pro-dealers, and other retail building-related segments. Our YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine is widely known to consumers throughout the South who use it for various outdoor building projects. Great Southern also distributes a large volume of products from many of the best-known brands in the industry. Thanks to 15 full-service treating plants and several production facilities, Great Southern Wood is strategically located to provide prompt and efficient service to lumber yards and building supply stores throughout the South, Midwest, and Northeast.

Responsibilities

  • Processes receivers, invoices, production reports, freight bills, purchase orders, sales orders, and lumber sales for the plant.
  • Orders office supplies for the plant.
  • Assists in monthly inventory reconciliation
  • Manage inbound phone calls
  • Maintains positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other GSWP plants.
  • Works with others within the company to achieve desired goals.
  • Performs administrative tasks associated with the purchasing of wood products and the movement of inventory.
  • Process account receivables and works with accounts payables to resolve issues.
  • Trains office employees as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Microsoft 365 and Excel
