About The Position

This Administrative Associate II is located in Royall Cottage of Murdoch Developmental Center. The Administrative Associate II will type the majority of documents including letters, memorandums, reports, and any other necessary correspondence in the division. This position is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors; answering incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system; compiling monthly staff schedules; balancing and reconciling figures; maintaining and updating individuals' financial accounts; preparing and handling work orders. North Carolina Intervention (NCI), as well as CPR and First Aid certification are required for this position. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.

Requirements

  • ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events.
  • The applicant will be required to successfully complete the Murdoch Developmental Center “Basic Training Series”; which includes, but is not limited to program library training, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques (NVCI), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting.
  • Applicants must have the ability to pass a physical requirements test.
  • To be considered for employment, you must be in good standing with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.
  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
