About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for serving as the divisional liaison for the management of individuals’ personal accounts; managing and processing requests for individual travel, including vehicle assignments, reservations, and funding requisitions; overseeing and managing the divisional vehicle fleet, including vehicle scheduling, mileage reporting, and coordination of routine maintenance and repairs; and filing Event Review Reports. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, and has approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence. Caswell Developmental Center, serving as North Carolina's Eastern Region resource center, provides specialized residential, programmatic, and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to type at a minimum speed of 50 words per minute
  • Proficiency in computer operations, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications and programs with training
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with effective organizational abilities
  • An Associate Degree in Secretarial Science and a minimum of two years experience.
