About The Position

This position provides administrative and logistical support to the Student Governance Organizations (SGOs), which include Student Government (SG), the Senate of College Councils (SCC), and the Graduate Student Assembly (GSA). These organizations represent undergraduate and graduate student perspectives on campus life and academic matters. The role involves managing the daily operations of the SGO suite and overseeing its reception area, supporting effective operations and meaningful engagement across the university community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five years of experience providing clerical, customer service, or office support OR a Bachelor's degree and one year of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

  • Experience supervising, training, or coordinating student employees.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary resource for SGO leaders and manage general office operations for the SGO suite.
  • Manage SGO email accounts; respond to requests for information; and screen, route, and follow up on inquiries as appropriate.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare meeting materials, and coordinate room reservations and space requests.
  • Document internal processes and maintain accurate, up-to-date permanent records and files.
  • Assist with purchasing, travel arrangements, and organization management software tools for the SGOs.
