About The Position

Eagle County Government is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the County Manager and Commissioners’ Offices. Requirements

  • 2+ years of progressive administrative/office management experience.
  • 2+ years of front-facing customer service or public relations experience.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Google Workspace and MS Office.
  • Comfort navigating, multitasking, and troubleshooting between various database and agenda management software programs.
  • Absolute discretion with confidential materials.
  • Organizational skills.
  • A growth mindset that handles open-office interruptions with grace.
  • A valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle check.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between Eagle River Valley and Roaring Fork Valley.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Admin, or Communications (can substitute for 1-2 years of experience).
  • 1+ years of experience working within local government or a compliance-heavy environment.
  • Professional working proficiency (verbal and written) in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules, prepare meeting agendas, record sessions, and coordinate seamless logistics for executive and meeting support.
  • Handle credit card reconciliations, process invoices, manage vendor data, and track budget reporting using the New World system for financial stewardship.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the public, de-escalating concerns, answering complex inquiries, and delivering top-tier customer service as a community liaison.
  • Oversee daily workplace experience, manage office supplies, and lead the daily County Mail process and team as the operations and mail lead.
  • Serve as the lead administrator for the Board of Equalization (CBOE), coordinating hearings and preparing crucial documents, which requires in-office presence from late June to July.
