Lynch Metals, a subsidiary of Metals USA, is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Union, NJ location. Lynch Metals is a leading metals processor/distributor in North America, providing a wide range of carbon steel products and services. Lynch Metals is a solid, growth-oriented company servicing the defense, commercial construction, and road construction and fabrication industries.

Requirements

High School Graduate or Equivalent
Ability to communicate both oral and written effectively with both internal and external customers
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures
Ability to demonstrate professionalism & diplomacy to include telephone etiquette
Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, accountable organization.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook

Responsibilities

Answer phones and address the needs of the front desk
Distributes incoming mail daily and prepares outgoing mail using postage meter.
Maintains an adequate office supply inventory and requisitions additional items as needed.
Send statements to customers and follow up on past due payments.
Review customer credit holds.
Prepare new customer setup files.
Assists the accounting department as needed and provide support during month end close.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
