About The Position

American Lineman College (ALC) is seeking an Administrative Assistant for its Reno campus. This role is crucial for maintaining the daily operations and ensuring a professional, student-centered environment. The Administrative Assistant will be the primary point of contact for the campus, managing front office duties, student records, scheduling, and providing support to instructors. ALC is dedicated to training the next generation of powerline professionals and partners with leading industry companies to equip graduates with essential skills.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience (academic environment preferred).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and alignment with the mission and standards of American Lineman College.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience managing inventory, purchasing, or materials ordering processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Reno campus by managing front desk operations, answering phones, and greeting visitors.
  • Respond to inquiries from students, families, vendors, and staff accurately and within established response time standards.
  • Coordinate campus visits and appropriately direct vendors.
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional front office environment.
  • Maintain accurate student files, attendance records, and required documentation.
  • Provide administrative support to instructors, including scheduling, document preparation, and classroom logistics.
  • Assist in coordinating orientations, session launches, certification events, graduations, and other campus activities.
  • Oversee campus calendars, room scheduling, and instructor availability.
  • Maintain inventory of student uniforms, PPE, tools, and training materials; monitor usage and order supplies proactively.
  • Execute all administrative duties in accordance with the Administrative Operations Manual and approved institutional procedures.
  • Adhere to established term calendars, reporting deadlines, and workflow benchmarks.
  • Maintain accurate CRM entries, student records, attendance tracking, and operational data.
  • Safeguard sensitive student and institutional information.
  • Provide administrative support to students throughout the term.
  • Handle student and institutional documentation with discretion, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Represent and uphold the mission, staff, students, and programs of the institution with integrity and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
