About The Position

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to join their operations team. Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a strong track record of creating value for stakeholders through solid financial performance, low-cost production growth, and a company-wide commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. They operate three mines in Canada and Mexico, with a portfolio of development stage projects and an early-stage exploration project. Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines, located near Matachewan, Ontario. The Administrative Assistant will play a strategic role in supporting the General Manager and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the leadership team by coordinating meetings, events, communications, and business activities with professionalism, discretion, and organization. This role involves working closely with leaders to support strategic initiatives, foster engagement, and drive business success.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience providing executive or senior-level administrative support.
  • Proven track record supporting senior leaders in a professional and fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present information to support business planning and decision-making.
  • High attention to detail, discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Visio is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the General Manager’s calendar, meeting schedules, priorities, and administrative activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team, including scheduling, communications, meeting coordination, and business-related activities.
  • Organize leadership meetings, quarterly business reviews, employee engagement events, industry conferences, trade shows, and community activities.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, catering, and logistics for business-related events and meetings.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, correspondence, reports, and supporting documentation while tracking action items and follow-up activities.
  • Support employee appreciation initiatives and participate in the administration of donations, sponsorships, and community investment activities.
