About The Position

Great Hill Solutions, LLC is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support a Defense Health client in the DC Metropolitan Area. The role involves providing healthcare support for the Directorate of Surgery Services (DSS) or the Directorate of Resource Management (DRM), working in conjunction with other healthcare providers, professionals, and non-contract personnel. Requirements

  • Active Public Trust Clearance
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Qualified typing ability (at least 40 wpm).
  • Knowledge of military ranks and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to produce reports, business correspondence, and briefs.
  • Ability to pass security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • DHA/DoD experience preferred.
  • Experience working with DoD/DHA correspondence, directives, forms, and records management processes is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact in support of a unit, bureau, section, or division, greeting and assisting visitors.
  • Relieve supervisors or administrative employees of routine administrative work.
  • Utilize word processing software to produce documents and maintain records.
  • Create and maintain complex filing systems or databases.
  • Communicate departmental policies and procedures to the public.
  • Compose correspondence on routine matters.
  • Proofread and edit documents.
  • Requisition office supplies.
  • Coordinate calendars, establish meeting, facility, and travel arrangements.
  • Compile information for special projects.
  • Collect and assemble data and background materials for reports.
  • Utilize databases and spreadsheet programs to produce summary reports.
  • Transcribe dictation from tape and produce a typed document.
  • Take, prepare, and distribute minutes, agendas, packets, and other support materials.
  • Schedule meetings and facilities.
  • Potentially provide functional or full supervision for clerical staff.
