About The Position

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to review applications for the trash and sidewalk rebate program. This role involves compassionate and respectful client engagement via email and phone, explaining program rules and regulations, particularly to vulnerable populations. Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
  • Three (3) years of full performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III).
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Excellent customer service skills, high volume customer service is a plus
  • Ability to clearly explain processes and procedures to different audiences
  • Experience interpreting rules, regulations, or procedures
  • Attention to detail when handling confidential documents
  • Experience with Excel

Responsibilities

  • Review applications to determine eligibility for the trash and sidewalk rebate program
  • Engage with clients in a compassionate and respectful manner
  • Answer all questions via email and phone pertaining to the trash and sidewalk rebate program
  • Engage with vulnerable populations and help explain the program rules and regulations
