This position is responsible for supporting Michaels Leadership team.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent; additional related training/certification is a plus
Requires excellent computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Interpersonal skills are essential with a high degree of sensitivity for confidentiality; must be strong in both oral and written communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task
Strong organizational skills and good customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and organize diversified workload
Nice To Haves
Experience in Oracle applications a plus
Some college preferred
2-3 years of prior experience working in an office environment, preferably in retail
Responsibilities
Communicates in person and through correspondence with sometimes high-level contacts inside and outside the company including vendors.
Schedules and coordinates meetings, conference calls, and other events; informs attendees/participants of function dates and times, reserves meeting space and catering services when needed.
Composes correspondence, memos, Excel Spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
Works closely with other department staff to coordinate streamlining of processes and documentation; recommends changes to improve efficiencies.
Coordinates domestic and international air travel, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations.
Establishes, develops, and maintains filing systems.
Maintains and orders office supplies and answers phones.
Handles highly confidential and sensitive information.
