About The Position

Answering office phones and triaging patient calls, scheduling and coordinating appointments, updating patient accounts and insurance coverage, maintaining patient health records in compliance with HIPAA, verifying insurance coverage, monitoring referral status, registering patients, collecting copays, entering referrals, obtaining signed consents, communicating with team members and outside offices, and keeping track of patients during office hours. This role also involves appropriate cleaning of the office space and flexibility to cover different locations and times. Requirements

  • Ability to answer office phones and triage patient calls.
  • Skills in scheduling and coordinating appointments.
  • Proficiency in updating patient accounts and insurance coverage.
  • Experience in maintaining patient health records and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to verify patient insurance coverage and monitor referral status.
  • Experience in patient registration, collecting copays, entering referrals, and obtaining signed consents.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and outside offices.
  • Ability to keep track of patients during office hours.
  • Willingness to perform appropriate cleaning of office space.
  • Flexibility to cover different locations and times.

  • Flexibility to cover different locations (Morristown, Overlook, Bridgewater, Rockaway, Pompton Plains, and Newton).
  • Availability for various work hours ranging from 7 AM to 5 PM, with shifts of 9.5 and 7.5 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Answering office phones and triaging patient calls.
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients.
  • Accurately updating patient accounts and insurance coverage.
  • Maintaining patients’ health records and abiding by HIPPA compliance.
  • Verifying patient’s insurance coverage and monitoring referral status.
  • Registering patients, collecting copays, entering referrals, and having appropriate consents signed.
  • Communicating well with team members and outside offices to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Keeping track of patients during office hours.
  • Appropriate cleaning of office space.
  • Flexible to cover different locations and times.
