About The Position

Primary Purpose: Work involves providing a wide variety of high-level administrative support including managing the day-to-day activities of an executive. Perform advanced administrative support or technical program support work for the workforce board office. Provides Administrative support for the Workforce boards and committees. Work includes providing and coordinating internal administrative support including the dissemination of information, developing filing systems, and preparing and editing reports and documents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative support work.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience administrative support work with management.
  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent required.
  • Experience and education may be substituted for one another
  • Manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and effectively work with changing tasks and activities
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
  • Skillful at standard office practices
  • Skillful at using Microsoft Office Suite Applications and other office software
  • Knowledge of telephone protocol
  • Type 60 WPM
  • Maintain a calm attitude in demanding situations
  • Make changes and adapt to varying responsibilities on an ongoing basis
  • Work with frequent interruptions, tight deadlines, and limited office space
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Travel within or out of the region when appropriate.
  • Able to be productive in an open-concept working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general office duties and administrative support including managing the day-to-day activities for Workforce senior staff
  • Provides Administrative support for the Workforce board and committees. Prepares, reviews, and finalizes meeting notices, agendas, and handouts for distribution and/or posting.
  • Performs administrative and/or technical program support for the workforce board office.
  • Assists staff in the planning, meetings, registrations for workforce development projects, initiatives, special projects, and events.
  • Prepares and edits reports, correspondence, memos, charts, presentation slides, forms, and spreadsheets.
