About The Position

Signature Healthcare at Home is seeking to add an Administrative Assistant to our Burlington location! This position is fully onsite supporting the agency's administrative operations and leadership team. The ideal candidate is someone with experience in an office setting and enjoys balancing competing priorities. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience is accepted in lieu of diploma.
  • At least 2 years' experience in an administrative role with a demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and proficient with office technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience for those with medical backgrounds or familiarity with home health.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with incoming phone calls, directing the caller to the appropriate department or personnel and may take messages for staff that are unavailable.
  • Supports out-going phone calls to patients/client families, caregivers, physicians, or referral sources to assist with the coordination of care for patients on services such as confirming appointments, informing providers of plan of care or coordination with family members for patient care.
  • Completes workflow tasks in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, such as patient demographic changes, medical records uploads, and maintenance of patient charts on an on-going basis.
  • Ensures accurate and timely data entry into patient records, internal tracking systems and other resources.
  • Performs routine clerical tasks such as distribution of mail, printing of materials and organization of supplies.
  • Greets in-person visitors, vendors and other guests at the agency acting as the first point of contact.
  • Handles other administrative tasks as assigned.
