About The Position

Under general supervision, provides administrative and customer service support for the Senior Services Manager and Senior Center operations. Serves as the primary point of contact for members and guests, assisting with inquiries, registrations, and daily activities while fostering a welcoming and positive environment. Performs a variety of clerical and financial duties, including answering phones, processing payments, preparing deposits, maintaining petty cash records, and supporting the cloud-based membership database. Responsible for developing the monthly newsletter and managing social media platforms to promote programs, increase community engagement, and communicate with members. Responds to member and guest concerns in a professional, respectful, and timely manner and provides reasonable assistance to individuals with limited mobility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in a job related field
  • Strong social media skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass a criminal background check (including driving record)
  • Pass a physical
  • Pass a drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, and visitors by providing courteous and professional customer service.
  • Answers phones, responds to inquiries, directs calls, and provides information regarding programs, activities, and services.
  • Performs general clerical and administrative duties, including filing, copying, data entry, scheduling, and maintaining records.
  • Receives, receipts, and processes payments; prepares deposits; and reconciles petty cash in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assists with maintaining and updating the Senior Center’s cloud-based membership database and related records.
  • Creates, edits, and distributes the monthly newsletter and other promotional materials.
  • Manages and updates social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, to promote programs, increase engagement, and communicate with the public.
  • Monitors and responds to comments, messages, compliments, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provides reasonable assistance and support to members and guests with limited mobility.
  • Assists with program registrations, event support, and daily operational activities as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
