About The Position

Walsh University is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to support programs within the College of Health Sciences. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and the other Administrative Assistants to provide support to programs, faculty, and students within the College of Health Sciences. This is a full-time; 40-hour/week, fully on-campus role, where we do our work in community with colleagues, students, and campus partners.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative assistant support role required.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty.
  • Positive attitude a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presentation and demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive materials
  • Strong aptitude with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to prioritize duties/tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Higher Education Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in a higher education academic environment strongly preferred but not required.
  • familiarity with Centralized Application Service (CAS)systems and other electronic database programs is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Support for the Dean of the College of Health Sciences
  • Support for multiple full-time and adjunct Faculty
  • General office responsibilities
  • Leads the program in planning for interviews, open house events, and other programmatic events while working in collaboration with the events planner for the University
  • Assists in maintaining documentation and planning for accreditation visits
  • Scheduling meetings and taking minutes
  • Budget tracking and preparation of requisitions
  • Communication with students and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Submission of work orders and maintenance requests as well as IT help desk requests
  • Collaboration with other campus departments
  • Assistance with other responsibilities necessary to ensure smooth operation of the College of Health Sciences.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
