About The Position

Eagle Technologies, LLC (Newport News, VA) is seeking a qualified administrative assistant. Eagle Technologies is a small business that designs and manufactures systems and components for the aerospace industry, with a niche in rotor blade and prop blade development. They are an AS9100 Rev D certified company offering engineering design, analysis, testing and manufacturing in both composites and aerospace metals. The administrative assistant provides administrative support to company executives by conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls and scheduling meetings for executives. Tasks will include general admin, accounting, purchasing and human resources.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Human Resources experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in recruiting, interviews and facilitate onboarding of new staff.
  • Assists in administration of benefits and training.
  • Maintains employee data and assists with training.
  • Type reports, memos, letters and other documents using word relevant computer software.
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
  • Greet visitors and manages facility & staff.
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining records management database systems.
  • Make travel arrangements for executives or employees.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff.
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
  • Organize and schedule appointments.
  • Entering data into spreadsheets, faxing, filing, scanning.
  • Flexible and willing to participate in other aspects of the business.
  • Other activities as may be directed.
