The Hanover County Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team is seeking an Administrative Assistant who takes initiative, thrives on challenges, embraces teamwork, and enjoys working in an ever-evolving, fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about community mental health and serving individuals with significant needs, this position may be an excellent fit for you. The ACT Team is a multidisciplinary group of health care professionals who provide comprehensive, community-based services to adults living with severe mental illness. The team supports clients in all aspects of their lives, including medication management, physical health concerns, housing, employment, substance use, and other needs that may arise. The ideal Administrative Assistant will play an essential role in supporting the team, our clients, and their natural supports as clients work toward stability, independence, and success in the community. This is a paraprofessional position. The incumbent performs administrative support tasks and manages projects. The Administrative Assistant position is part of Hanover County’s Career Development Program (CD). The Administrative Assistant Ladder has four (4) levels ranging from Administrative Assistant I to Senior Administrative Assistant. Incumbents normally report to a Department Head or Manager and supervise no staff. However, Senior Administrative Assistants may serve as workflow leaders to lower-level Administrative Assistants.
