About The Position

The South Region Administrative Assistant supports the South Region State Directors with daily administrative tasks as well as completes tasks and projects to support the South Region and NAMB Church Planting Center. This role is an in-office position, Monday through Friday, located at the NAMB Church Planting Center on the campus of NOBTS. All staff positions are considered ministerial in nature due to the purpose and mission of the North American Mission Board.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or three or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with grammar and professional business writing abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and track schedules effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, and Outlook preferred.
  • Evidence of a mature and growing Christian walk characterized, by Paul, in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
  • Personal wisdom and sufficiency are grounded in Christ and the word of God, with a life submitted to God’s authority in all things.
  • Models a daily soul-winning lifestyle.
  • Can effectively lead others in prayer.
  • Gives regularly and generously to the work of the church.
  • Readily applies scripture to personal and professional situations.
  • Can articulate Baptist theological understandings on a range of issues.
  • Conducts ministry in keeping with the principles and spirit of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Responsibilities

  • Provide concierge service to Send Network staff and planters while promoting Send Network Values
  • Provide administrative support to South Send Network Directors
  • Create and submit Workday expense reports/reimbursements for South State Directors
  • Manage funding and renewal request for south partners when needed
  • Ability to become subject matter expert regarding NAMB systems (Dynamics/CRM, Missionary Dashboard, MAP, and RAP)
  • Update and Utilize Assessment Tracking Sheet to assist field staff in understanding pre-assessment process
  • Assist South Administrator in facilitating onboardings of Southern state partners
  • Conduct ongoing research projects for the betterment of our regional ministry
  • Provide support in the daily operations of the New Orleans Church Planting Center
  • Event assistance as needed
  • Other tasks assigned by the Regional Director or Senior Consultant
  • Active member of a South Baptist Church
