About The Position

The Elementary Office Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, helping to maintain a warm, welcoming, and well-organized front office environment. This role supports the daily operations of the school by managing phone and in-person communication, overseeing visitor check-in procedures, assisting with attendance, maintaining student records, and providing general clerical and logistical support. The assistant helps coordinate schedules, distributes information, and offers essential support to teachers and administrators to ensure smooth and efficient school functioning. With strong organizational skills and a student-centered approach, the Elementary Office Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in the overall success of the school community.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an office or school administrative setting, demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency with common office technology and software programs, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive), Microsoft Office Suite, email platforms, and digital communication tools.
  • Ability to learn and navigate new technology systems quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Customer-service–oriented approach when interacting with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also managing independent tasks effectively.
