About The Position

The Part Time Administrative Assistant is responsible for the coordination of various office tasks and functions to ensure office processes run smoothly. Provides administrative support to the counselors and interns, assists students with inquiries about counseling, and coordinates and connects with other departments within Student Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of prior office experience
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting or competing priorities
  • Demonstrated passion for working with students
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a mental health office setting preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a first point of contact for Counseling Services for walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.
  • Effectively answers questions, directs requests appropriately, and works with the team to efficiently exchange information.
  • Provides administrative support to the ADCS, the counselors and interns. This may include the scanning of documents, photocopying, assisting with student intake paperwork, reserving rooms for groups or presentations, assisting with scheduling, and ordering all office supplies. Recognizes the need to reprioritize as appropriate.
  • Effectively performs general administrative activities including organizing and maintaining filing systems, processing of paperwork, generating reports and updating databases.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
