About The Position

The administrative assistant, student employee is responsible for providing routine customer service and performing clerical/administrative duties according to established procedures. This role supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence. The position requires modeling, supporting, and holding others accountable to the University’s values. The student employee will also be responsible for writing, editing, formatting, and proofreading documents, performing data aggregation, and responding to the needs of students, colleagues, and community members in a timely and courteous manner. Additionally, they will answer phones, respond to emails, forward messages, confirm appointments, maintain appropriate office supply inventory, compile and organize information into relevant reports, and maintain filing systems. The role utilizes basic word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills daily, and involves collecting, organizing, and composing correspondence for department staff. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
  • Good academic and financial standing with the University
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

  • Ability to lift/carry items commonly found in an office setting including, but not limited to, documents, laptops, keyboards, etc.
  • Regular in-person attendance is a necessary and essential function

Responsibilities
