About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Dean for the Division’s efforts to achieve its Mission and Vision which are focused on academic excellence and student success. The students we serve may pursue Certificates or Associate’s of Applied Science Degrees in Career and Tech. Ed. (Cosmetology or Culinary Arts) or Business. This position is responsible for providing high quality assistance to the Dean and staff of the Business Division as we support students in the pursuit of their academic goals. The Administrative Asst. II will perform a variety of duties as well as provide excellent service to students of the Division. The division has 16 full time and 17 part time faculty One Administrative Assistant I position and one Administrative Assistant II position supports the Business Division. On a daily basis, the Administrative Asst. II handles Division business, interactions with students and Business Division associates, and has other duties outlined below.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Office Management, Office Information Systems or the equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Two years experience in a general office setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize and manage large amounts of information and files.
  • Attention to detail and well organized.
  • Past experience managing similar volume and complexity of data, files, detailed information.
  • Strong follow-through and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on all information regarding student records, faculty, and student communications and personnel matters.
  • Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
  • High focus on collegiality and work with a team oriented attitude.
  • Exhibits regular attendance, punctuality, dependability, and reliability.
  • Excellent judgment skills in terms of interpersonal communications.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work situations.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be resourceful when the situation demands it.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge of Google suite, Adobe suite, and Canva.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Dean for the Division’s efforts to achieve its Mission and Vision.
