About The Position

The Administrative Assistant II provides proactive and proficient administrative support and operation of the designated department and/or Director and management within the designated department by performing a variety of administrative tasks, such as: answering telephones, greeting and directing visitors, maintaining and scheduling appointment calendars, handling various forms of mail (i.e. paper, email, overnight express, fax), ordering office supplies and furnishings, arranging for equipment repairs, maintaining filing systems and/or computerized record keeping systems and/or databases, completing standardized forms, handling all confidential correspondence and inter-department communications, attending meetings and taking minutes, composing correspondence on behalf of the Director supported, providing on-boarding support, as needed, and performing other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED, required
  • Two-year experience in a general office setting OR one-year experience with completion of specialized training/certification in the administrative professional field, required
  • Proficient and demonstrated competency in MS Office Suite applications
  • Strong oral and written interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast paced, evolving work environment
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Experience in healthcare/hospital setting, preferred
