About The Position

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Administrative Assistant I position in the Academic & Student Affairs division. This position is located at Atlanta Tech's South campus just south of Downtown Atlanta. Under the direct supervision of the Dual Achievement Program Executive Director, the Full-Time Administrative Assistant I provides administrative and clerical support to the unit. This position serves as a liaison between program, administrative, and technical operations and clients, while also maintaining and entering data across various systems and formats and generating reports and other documents as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Six (6) months of directly related work experience.
  • Skilled in operation of computers and job-related software programs.
  • Knowledge of expenditure trends, program purposes, and results.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Skilled in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
  • Knowledge of audiovisual equipment
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience working in secondary and/or post-secondary education

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative & clerical support to executive director and program.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and program, administrative, and technical operations by identifying client needs, providing appropriate information and assistance, and referring clients to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Proofread and edit documents for content, context, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Enter data from forms, records and/or reports using student information database software.
  • Utilize a variety of software to produce documents, spreadsheets, visual aids and promotional materials.
  • Maintain filing and records-keeping systems.
  • Conduct research using a variety of resources to generate reports, solve departmental issues, and find new technology solutions.
  • Order and maintains office supply inventory.
  • Schedule vehicle reservations as needed.
  • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
